Advertising your property business on line successfully depends on a number of factors. Your hosting package will include a certain amount of bandwidth that you may not exceed without incurring further charges. One of the most effective ways of wasting bandwidth is to bloat property graphics.

Here is the key to wasting bandwidth.

Put Static into the picture. The extra "colours" will add to the size of the image.

Breaking up solid portions of colour is also a good way of adding size.
If you can't add static, use lots of drop shadows (of different colour).

Take a large image and display it as a smaller one, by altering the width and height tags.

Render an image at a higher dpi than necessary.

Remember that if the image also serves no purpose. So much the better.

Big logos scanned off letterheads and scanned brochure pages are ideal, especially if they are on every page and need to be repeatedly downloaded..

Choose heavy animated gif's to really slow things up

Use undefined meta tags

Another useful way of wasting bandwidth that is often overlooked is to inflate the HTML of the page. Text can also eat up bandwidth.

Use counters so that only you will get a kick out of how much bandwidth you are wasting.

Have banners on your page. Everyone loves banners

Hide large portions of text within the HTML document.

Be very verbose, and describe things to the smallest detail. This will add to the overall bulk of your document.
